In Their Own Words

“In Their Own Words” is a collection of “Remembrances” from the archives of the Eagle Historical Society that attempt to paint a picture of Eagle, Wisconsin, drawn from the memoirs of those who brought our little village to life. Our Curator, Elaine Ledrowski, researched museum records looking for hidden gems and memorable stories that have shaped our community. This book is the result of the diligent work of several EHS Board Members who dedicated many hours to making this historical book possible.

The 229 page soft-bound book is available for purchase for $15.00 plus postage at the Eagle Historical Society – PO Box 454, Eagle, WI 53119.

On Thursday, April 26, 2023, the Eagle Historical Society presented a program of readings from the book by members of the EHS Board and community members. There were four parts to the presentation;

1- Friends and Neighbors, Past and Present, 2- Our Eagle Memories Live On, 3- Events to Remember, and 4- Eagle Landmarks.
