Prudential Insurance took over this farm in 1939. Walter Ridgeman rented the property from then until 1941, when he paid 12,000 dollars cash to own it. He and his wife, Annie (Anna), lived there from then on, running the dairy farm. Walter purchased 148 acres originally, and an additional 40 acres later; these additional acres were sold after he died in 1959. Annie Ridgeman died in 1993. Her grandson, Steve Beck, then bought 12 acres of the farm along with the buildings; another 136 acres were sold to the Department of Natural Resources. The farm is no longer operating.
