25 Years of Service as Curator of the Eagle Historical Society!
EHS Curator Elaine Ledrowski and her husband Don became involved with the Eagle Historical Society in the mid-1990’s. She accepted the position of Curator in January 1998.
Together, they worked hand-in-hand to make this a strong and thriving organization, by organizing, cataloging, and preserving artifacts and Eagle history for current and future generations. Sadly, Don passed away in 2021.
It’s been Elaine’s creativity and boldness in bringing ideas and programs forward that have made our historical society successful. Music, drama, adult and children’s programs all bring warm memories to those who attended, and also remind us of the many friends and relatives who attended with us but have now passed on to eternity.
Elaine continues to encourage members and the general public to learn and engage in our shared history.
An anniversary party was held on January 17, 2023 by Board Members of EHS that included flowers, music, cake & ice cream, awards, and presents. One highlight of the event was the presentation of a Joint Resolution from both Village and Town Boards by Village President Rich Spurrell, honoring Elaine for her 25 years of service to our Eagle community. Music by members of the Kettle Moraine Blues group added a rousing flair to the event. The Program and music was arranged by Gina Neist.
Enjoy some of the pictures of the event shared by Elaine’s daughter, Annie Ledrowski Jung.
