After 95 years, the Eagle Fire Department, made up of the Town and Village of Eagle, merged with the Village of North Prairie to form the new Kettle Moraine Fire District on January 1, 2022. The idea of a new Fire District had been in the works for several years as the three communities struggled with the cost of equipment and operations, and attracting new fire and rescue volunteers.

The new Fire District will operate a fire station in both Eagle and North Prairie, minimizing duplication of manpower and equipment costs, while at the same time, providing all three communities with well-maintained equipment and professionally trained fire and emergency personnel.

While it’s sad to say good-bye to our old Eagle Fire Department, we welcome the new “Kettle Moraine Fire Department”!
