Mark your calendars for Sunday July 8 as the Eagle Historical Society presents the Palmyra Eagle Community Band with a special family friendly program “From Sousa to Swing: The Great Era of American Popular Music“.
Spend a fun filled afternoon of musical greats that includes Leroy Anderson, Henry Mancini, Harold Arlen, W.C. Handy and..JOHN PHILIP SOUSA. Instrumental features, marches, show tunes and “pop” radio hits will all be featured. Lead trumpeter Jim Niest will also bring the exciting sounds of his “Kettle Moraine Blues” group to delight young and old. Cake and ice cream will add to the delight of all.
Tired of bad theme parks and junk entertainment? Bring the family to Eagle Park on Sunday, July 8 for a truly remarkable summer event! Pack your bag chairs or spread out a blanket in the shade. It’s fun and it’s free! The Ice cream Social starts at 1:30 and the Band Concert starts at 2:00.
