  1. Good morning,
My great X3 grandparents were Verus Henry 1793-1853 and Harriet Henry 1795-1888. They are both buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Old World Wisconsin. Are there cemetery records with information about them?
    Thank you for your time.

  2. Hello! I am a student at Carroll University who is inquiring about an individual who is mentioned on the Memorial wall. John Lane served in the Civil War, but his son, also named John Lane, served in the World War I. I am trying to find more information about John Lane for a project commemorating veterans of Waukesha Country who served in WWI.

Some information I know about him Already is
    -He was born in 1888
-He attended the University of Wisconsin
-His father was the John Lane mentioned on the Memorial
    -His mother’s name was Ellen
    -He was an accountant/auditor
    -He was a 2nd Lieutenant
-His full name (According to his military service record) is John Augustine Lane

If you could help me find more information about John Augustine Lane, I would greatly appreciate it.

  3. I just came across the recent Draper article from the last newsletter. I was so excited to read several names that are in my family tree, namely Napoleon Draper, Westons, Dawsons, Snover. I was wondering if you have any more information about the Dawsons. Thank you so much for all you do to keep the past available to those of us doing genealogy.

  4. Hi! I decided that it is way past time that I came into the 21st century with the rest of the world and got E-mail. I hope I did this right and you got this.

  5. Hi

My Name is Cheri Schober. I work for the City of Waukesha. I’m the Senior Activities Director for the Waukesha Park Recreation and Forestry (WPRF) department. We have a history club for the seniors. We meet every month on the third Thursday from 2pm to 3pm.

Each month we ask speakers to come and share their expertise/area history. We would love to have someone from your area or group come talk to us on a topic of their choosing. Right now we are looking speakers for dates after March. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me if your group is interested.

  6. Hello! I am seeking information regarding Robert Longfield McCarthy (born 1842) and in particular, his daughter Verna – I believe they lived in Palmyra, Wisconsin. I have been trying to access old Palmyra newspapers to track down some information, but have been unsuccessful.

Thank you in advance for any help!
